Ways to Satisfy Praxis Core / Math

There are 5 options to satisfy the Praxis Core/Math Academic Assessment.

Option 1: SAT as a substitute for Praxis Core

Before April 1, 1995:

  • Passing Score: 1000
  • Verbal: 450
  • Math: 510

After April 1, 1995:

  • Passing Score: 1100
  • Verbal: 530
  • Math: 530

Option 2: ACT as a substitute for Praxis Core

Before April 1, 1995: Passing Score Composite: 21 (with math no less than 21 and English plus reading score no less than 37)
After April, 1, 1995: Passing Score Composite: 24 (with math no less than 22 and English plus reading score no less than 46)

Option 3: VCLA Score: 470 and SAT Math Score

Before April 1, 1995: Math Passing Score: 510
After April 1, 1995: Math Passing Score: 530

Option 4: VCLA Score: 470 and ACT Math Score

Before April 1, 1995: Math Passing Score: 21
After April 1, 1995: Math Passing Score: 22

Option 5: Praxis I Math Score if taken before December 31, 2013

Before December 31, 2013: Math Passing Score: 178
